SUMMERTIME BLISS

Written by: Quondreika Cheatham

THE SUN MELTED AWAY AT MY SKIN FROM AFAR AND FROM WITHIN.

I DESIRED SOMETHING COLD AND SWEET WHERE IT WOULD MAKE ME COMPLETE.

I ACHED AND GROANED FROM THE BAKING OF MY FLESH.

WHERE I COULD FIND A SHADE SO I COULD REST.

THE DAYS ARE LONG AND THE NIGHTS ARE FEW I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL AUTUMN COMES THROUGH.

SO I CAN SEE THE LEAVES FALL AND I CAN RELAX WITH NO MORE HEAT IN MY BACK.

NOTHING CAN TAKE SUMMER'S PLACE FOR IT IS A SEASON AND THERE IS A REASON.
