The Four Season Addiction

The wants of her heart would only beckon to repeat
Longingly, she waited till she wept along the avenue of her street
These were the hauntings since from the spring of her youth
A vow once taken, but never kept, yet shouted out loud was its truth
Now alone and lonely, she was like a snow fence in its summer's plight
The sound of her autumn's rush was like the marrow of
An eerie cry for requite
As empty winds scream, howling thru weathered pickets
The demand of her yearly requite
To quell these long summer days into black of night and a start to her winter's white
