It's too late

Written by: Jane Kostman

I feel like I am standing on the outside looking in,
While I am trying everything to get your attention but
I cannot win.
Slowly over and over again as my mind repeats
Memories of you remembering how you kept
Saying hey I know it’s too late to run and hide,
Yeah I know it’s just too late to run and hide.

I’m holding on to the edge,
Over 20,000 thousand feet above the ground
Wanting to find a way to be free like you,
But while I stand here looking around
All I see is black and white,
And it’s so cold and lonely
Just watching you betray me,

Oh I wanta scream out why
As you lie saying hey I know it’s too late to run and hide,
Yeah I know it’s just too late to run and hide.
I’m falling off the edge wondering why I’m not afraid yeah yeah
I keep drowning in this fairy tale of a love that was not really real
And inside I can feel my heart breaking in thousands of pieces still
Saying ----I know it’s too late to run and hide,
Yeah I know it’s just too late to run and hide.
I wish I would have been more of a man
Hey Yeah I wish I would of slapped that smirk off your face
Before I feel this deep,
Knowing everything you said was a lie,
I watched the way you kissed him
And how you brought him down with your charms
Just like the way it was with you and me as
I held you in my arms,
But now I am filled with anger,
And I know there is nothing that you can say
The future is changing and you killed
The last chance of us,
Yea you killed me with your poison
And Now I’m falling 20,000 feet off the ground,
Knowing that when I plunge into that ocean water
It’s going to be me Saying ----I know it’s too late to run and hide,
Yeah I know it’s just too late to run and hide.
