Absolutely Everything

Written by: Keith Bickerstaffe

My eyes behold her loveliness,
my fingers itch to scratch
what can't be scratched.
I cry out in quiet desperation,
just a glimpse of her face
has me begging for a taste
of her sweet mystery,
her moods of curiosity and wonder.
I can speak her mind,
taste the yearnings in her heart
and touch the essence of her soul,
yet I'm not permitted in her presence,
can't address her hopes and fears,
so I must wander lost in unrequited
love for the woman who means
absolutely everything to me.
