Hope for End of Days

Written by: Dave Timperley

Look to the left, look to the right,
During the day and even at night,
On ears, on necks, also on stone,
Sometimes on badges, sometimes alone.

Do you know what I'm saying?
Have you seen any clues?
I'm talking of crosses,
On which God paid our dues.

How odd it seems to me,
That this symbol of Death,
Became the symbol of Life,
For sinners like you and me.

He died on a cross for all to see,
On a rubbish tip, around about 3.
He died on the cross that fateful day,
But Glory came back on Easter Day.

He came to the Earth 'cos we couldn't cope,
He died and arose to give us hope.
He came without any condemnation,
He was sent for reconcilliation.

He gave us a chance to mend our ways,
He came to Earth as the scripture says.
Mend your ways, the Savior says,
Or be lost forever at the end of days.
