Remembrance

Written by: POETESS DARKLY

With kindness I bid thee to remember,
Once upon a December.
When snow coats the fallen leaves,
Downing thine woolen sleeves.

And when the snow bids adieu,
And green grass finds the dew.
With kindness bid thee I pray,
Once upon a fine month of May.

When the buds spring forth to touch the sky,
I canst answer the reason why.
Slumbering with death, nay comfort found,
When summer again is bound.

With kindness I bid thee to remember,
Once upon a September.
And the leaves fall gently to bed,
The flowers wither and rest their sweet head.

I bid thee ne'er forget me,
Keep me warm in thine memory.
I shall forever glow, ne'er to depart,
Nestled within the cockles of thine heart.
