Rain Dance

Heaven over-flows, sending down the rain,
Collecting in the gutters, spilling down the drain.
The raindrops tap, rap on my head,
Warm as honey on fresh baked bread.
Like heaven to my upturned face,
Bestowing a smile on a once frowning place.
Dancing, jumping in puddles so black,
Mud between toes, troubles rolling off my back.
The smell ambrosia washes the world anew,
A rainbow graces the sky with a gorgeous hue.
I feel like a flower begging for a drink,
Youth again mine blushing maiden fresh pink.
No one is too old to go dancing in the rain,
We all need a break from life's unbearable strain.
