Piano and Me

Written by: Liberty Robbins

They were one
One continuous thing
Hands outstretched
Like spider webs
Moving joyously
Quick and nimble
Pressing black and white
Tickling my eardrums
Tapping my feet
Feet on pedals
You taught me how
Little legs dangling
Music notes
Resembled splattered paint
Now that I’m solo
I still feel you
In the music
In the tones
But mostly in the echo
