I look up at the overcast sky,
People always ask me why.
Why I like to walk in the rain,
Why do they think I'm insane?

I love the feel of the wet grass,
The feel of the rain's splash.
Why do they judge me so?
What I feel, they do not know.

Water drips from the hair behind my ears,
My call for comfort no one hears.
Why do they want to fix me?
They don't even know what broke me.

I look up at the overcast sky,
They still ask me why.
I tell them I don't really know,
It brings a peace I can neither describe nor show.
