Dreams Unfurled

Written by: dave archuletta

Insomnia is yesterday’s night that melds into the morning’s day
It is the state of a conscientious mind to which, the passing of time, clock as hours
spent in meaningless shades of gray

Insomnia is a world without color, without contemporary interwoven seams
To dream of past dreamt dreams has not chance, neither ways nor means

It is only to wake from sleep, that memories abound with the sunny morning’s bring
That life retains worth, only unfurls when we hear Harper Lee’s Mocking bird sing
