Breathless drop

Written by: Ryan Jackson

My eyes view the scene untold,

ears listen to a secret whisper,

growing louder,

sound of falling rain trickles the old oak,

flowing softly,

stroking shadows of dark brown past age,

descends slowly down solid wrinkly path.

Drops of water fall from lifeless leafs,

landing on mild floor,

like specks of beauty,

wetting all natures growth,

from creators greetings.

Clouds finishes delivering living thirst,

and disappears away for blue skies to greet,

silence enters the quiet earth,

just the view of deciduous leafs dancing with the evening wind,

autumns spell,

captures the colourful forest in my heart,

and shows me in it's hidden solitude,

that life and death,

are not far apart.
