Love's Waters

Love's Waters

Your tides washed out with winter's gusty veil,

Tore love's mooring from our grasp, so frail.

A distant orient blows cool your ocean gale.

On listless seas, rudderless I sail.

Wherein blue depth of wonder, answers lie;

Your heart's ebb and flow, to fathom why.

Southward does our albatross now fly,

And summer's vows, caught in my doldrums, die.

I yearn for our waters to mingle once more,

For my wayward ship to repose on your shore,

To bask in the pools of your eyes as before,

For the spring of our love, as eternal encore.
