I took something just the other day,
It use to belong to me,but I lost it along the way.
Being told what to do every minute all the time,
Having to release my frustration only in rhyme.
Well I got tired, tired of being bossed around,
Started speaking out in my little town.
No money to live while the rich get richer,
Sitting quiet while the poor get poorer.
Need my freedom just to move about,
Need freedom to speak if only to shout.
More restrictions put on us every day,
I got my life back,I took it today.
It's mine again,again I can give,
It's mine again,I can finally live.
