my sly friend

Written by: Blythe Journey

my sly friend
wickedness
born of need and hunger
perceived as blood red
dripping from sharp dirty teeth
but behind a fat slimy smile
a ravenous leech
hypocracy nourishes you
because without your
prancing pride and lovely lust
we could not identify
righteousness
you are scorned by those
who know you best
those who are your secret lover
those who lie in bed with you
a tangled sweaty mess
you do not prefer black lipstick
or spiky collars
nose rings and tattoos
aren't your style
no..you prefer the disguise
of a perfumed Sunday suit
with black shiny shoes
and a politician's smile
my sly friend
wickedness
born of need and hunger
