We picked the chestnuts
on Mayhills low,
we took their sweetness
to the stove,
we thanked the Lord
for the glorious glow
but we thanked him more
that our day did unfold,
thankyou for the undercooked roast(never got on with that oven)
for the sherry we're drinking
and your Birthday, we toast.
