Tigress

Written by: Joseph Granda-Padron

She loved me
W/ the passion of a tigress
Breaking me
Tearing my bowels out
And in the distance
Across the horizon of NYC
A brief echo
A small song
A shadow born on moments.

When it’s finished
We two heaving
Breathing
Smoking
The space we’ve just filled
Begins to ebb
Just a bit
And we hunger
Once
More.
