My Mirror

 Dear mirror,
Through your reflected lights I get flashbacks
You’re the only one I tell my silly things
 Without being laughed at
You’ve always been there for me whenever
I felt like a junkie who lacks crack

 Dear mirror,
I only trust the person who dwells in you
The look at you makes me maudlin like
 Sea swells in a view
Talking to you sows the ease in me like
 An honest interview
With a shrink who’s good at listening
 Your surface is glistening
With my thoughts, stories and plots
 you’re thickening

 Dear mirror,
My past is trapped between your glass layers
And it tries to haunt me
Your bright light slays all my wrath layers
So I look at them nonchalantly
You know all my raunchy insecurities
 And you never taunt me

 Dear mirror,
 Your mysterious charm makes me
rack my brain like some hardcore chess
 And think deeper & look
at the ceiling for hours like a bored guest
 Your brightness tranquilizes the rage
in my veins and relieves the ennui off my chest

 Dear mirror,
All my memories are stored in you
My life stages are captured through your pieces
You witness my rise and slides
You keep my secrets and hide my lies

 Dear mirror,
My love to you never ends
So please never shatter and stab me in the back
 like my friends.
