A CHRISTMAS WISH - IN PRAYER

A CHRISTMAS WISH…IN PRAYER.

As Sleigh bells ring and children
sing
And hearts begin to melt,
And that special Christmas magic
Can be seen, heard and felt.
As smiles enliven faces,
And hand is clasped to hand,
Let’s pray for Christmas peace to
heal
Each wounded, war – torn land.

For every land is holy,
And sacred every sea,
And wondrous is each blade of
grass,
Each flower, shrub and tree.
And every life is precious,
Each touches all the rest,
For all are undertaking
A consecrated quest.

Could man but bless each gifted
day,
And every star – filled night,
And listen to the silence,
And look into the light.
Then wounds would heal, and
discords cease
And all the guns be still.
And we might hear the Angels
sing
‘Peace…to the Earth…and Goodwill.’
