A Cut Above The Rest

I’ve always liked your hair the best
It is a cut above the rest
It lies perfectly to and fro
I don’t like it combed straight
All hairs in a row
I love it short and lopped
Natural waves all over
When they’re everywhere especially
When you think it’s messy and just flopped
It’s not my favorite
Carefully placed to the side but,
It is your hair; you decide
I like to feel my fingers slide, after a wash and,
How easily they glide when I give it a playful toss

At times, you might want to wear a hat
To hide where the strays are at
It’s true; sometimes they get away from you
While hidden from view
Then, it’s all laid flat
I don’t like that look on you, no, I don’t like that

I know you don’t like leaving hair on your face
Feeling it would make it not so clean a place
That is why no mustache
You felt it only caught debris and trash but,
If you had hair ear to ear
A groomed and narrow line below your chin
It could be another broader smile just below your grin
Not to mention emphasize your manly jaw
Keeping not only me in awe

What I find appealing
What sends me reeling
Is a face that’s clean otherwise,
It’s not friendly, just obscene
