My heart a province of red carnations
blooming in rich soil
yet when picked from the plant
my loving strength takes its toll.
She loved me or so she said
her mouth did not lie
I knew her better than anyone else
yet her heart did not comply.
The feeling is warm, pure and pleasing
my whole world is at her feet
my heart beating madly
without her I’m incomplete.
My love a realm of ups and downs
enfeebled by the sudden outburst of emotions
I cry with joy and sob with sadness
slowly but surely in state of erosion.
