I guess I am
I am wife, I know it because once I said I do,
On my finger that proves it, like handcuff cuffs-rings I got two.
I am mother, I know it with each stretch mark marking,
Across my belly and chest, I'm no longer the best spot for the parking.
I am a volunteer, I know it by the miles on my tires,
Coolers in my trunk, van filled with junk, waiting for a job that hires.
I am photographer I chant with every camera click,
Then process it with photoshop equipped with rhetoric.
I am a poetess well now how can this be?
It happened so fast that each words spilled out of me.
Quick grab the medical supply kit I need a band-aid please,
Seems I've already caught the pen to paper disease.
Wow, I confess I am impressed, I am someone after all.
Shoot me into the sky so I could at least be a star before I fall.
