Sleepwalking

Holding a basket
Full of the flowers
That have grown from the blood of
Her forsaken ancestors

Bearing a smile
Charged with the sympathy
And lies
Of a hundred miracles
She laughs

A tired sun rolling over
This deceased horizon
To meet her innocent eyes

God has left us

But
Sleepwalking in a lost Eden
Innocence lingers
