Doubt

Grey and eerie it’s presences looms,
It will never go.
This dangerous burden
Shall hang over me for the rest of my life(…)

These morbid sensations
Flowing through my veins.
Where will they take me?
I have no guilt.
Or do I?

I spout doubt from every pore
Ever inch of my skin is drenched.
It entwines my body,
Surges through me from every direction.

It invokes uncertainty,
Persuades me to self-analyze.
But it does more,
It obliges, it threatens, it terrorizes.
I must run; escape.
But it follows.

I’m running but making no headway,
I cannot run fast enough.

It pounces,
It has me.
Darkness ensues…
