Half Way There

At the hour and in the place
I ask myself the way to us.
Our ship has sunk without trace,
The current keeps us separate thus

There’s no chance to save this day.
We could choose from the sun and moon,
But a black hole led us astray,
But we gave in to the monsoon.

Now I’m waiting for calmer winds,
Looking for a consolation
And I envy the birds long wings;
Heaven may be my salvation.

So many hearts bloom and wither,
Too many dreams will never come true,
Many souls can’t be together,
Yet life must go on for me and you…
