Blink

& it's gone
flushed away never
really meant anything
if anything was meant
to come of it.

regardless, though, got to keep
going try to make sense of it all
of
it
all. Six months I been clean
sober strong
thirsty

& tomorrow's the last day
of the year the bottle's
are waiting calling out my name
C
A
R
L
O
S I've been waiting for you!!!

My blood starts to sweat
My lungs begin to implode
& a massive piece of my soul
remembers rehab.

To hell with it.
Doesn't mean a thing
if this thing ever meant
anything.

I'll do what i know best:
Drink
write
Drink & write some more
& Drink a little more

& when my wife calls the Cops
& i head back to the psyche ward
I'll simply
start
all
over
again.

I am beginning to think you can go even deeper, than i have seen so far. Give me some real blood, write one that hurts more. Then write one of the beauty of living, i want it to open my heart and make me appreciate life. Just a request,, lol
