The Man I Miss

I miss the man
I fell in love with,
whose eyes exudes
melting gazes.
I miss the warmth
of sincere embrace;
the sweetness in the moist
of a passionate kiss.

Sensing distant chill
amidst his presence,
I silently weep
behind the curtain of bliss;
my lips may beam
a hypocrite smile,
but beneath the lids
are lonely eyes.

As I stare at the man
I learned to love,
my heart exhales
a heavy sigh.
Indeed, I may be wrapped
in his sturdy arms,
alas, I cannot feel
the thrill in his heart.
