Sinking

Collapsing… Fading…
One mistake did everything…
One mistake did it all
In a land of corruption
In a land of isolation
In a world of incompletion
In a world filled with faults
Yet among them, mine shows
Losing friends all round
Each day a friend is gone…

Sinking deep in a dark sea
Sinking… down… sinking…
Yet dragging everyone around…
Sinking… is that light?
I spent my life repenting…
Isn’t it time to live in guilt,
Under the shelter of sin…?
A question sinking before me
Breathing… breathing the question
Is it still there…? Why?

A friend…? Who is he?
Do I have one…?
Everyone is collapsing…
Crying… am I alone?
Is that a word… what is it?
I miss a word from that mouth
I miss… miss… a word…
Alone… cold… sinking

An abyss… is this my end?
A friend is sinking too…
Far away from me… there
A promise? What is it…?
Gone… all… done… lost
Dead… what is death?
Is it what I think is?
Is it to be saved…?
Blame… Tears… Falling…?
Away from me… naïve

What’s on surface…?
What’s there? Is it…?
Can it be…? But he’s sinking too…
Is he? Am I? Are we?
Blame me… I’m done… gone
Wish me good life…
Wish me, while you’re there
On the surface… outside…
Out… in life…
