YEARNING FOR THE PAST

What happened?
Why aren’t things the way they used to be?
And what is it that you saw in me?

What happened?
You used to be overflowing with passion
Your every word,
Movement
Carried out
In such an intense fashion.

What happened?
To the little girl I once admired?
The one who lived every day
As though it was her last
And never tired.

What happened?
I asked her one last time
Would telling me be such an atrocious crime?
Indeed so, for she paused thoughtfully
Before leaving me with this-
Memories are a bliss.

great title and using the repetitious form lends strength to your style fine last line, too

I liked this piece immensely - I like how you started each stanza with the same words - and then proceeded to a different description.
