The Castle

I live in a castle.
By the sea.
Open to all for tea.
The drawbridge down.
The gate ajar.
The clatter of hoof beats.
Heard afar.

Come in and stay.
Hospitality our way.
The Princess in her tower, marooned.
Incarcerated for her cooking.
And at the Knights looking.

Many pass this way.
To the jousting and the play.
Hoping to catch the eye.
Of the Princess in the sky.

Horses resting a feast prepared.
The smell of roast beef being aired.
Best robes wearing.
My crown adorning.
The queen applauding.
Looking adoring.

The Minstrels playing.
Acrobats displaying.
A Clown clowning.
Everyone enjoying.
Singing come come.
Come to the fair.

Very fairytalesesque. You could make it stronger by watching out for the meter in your lines. Keep up the fun work. Light & Love Debbie
