A Real Poet- or Maybe Not

Bukowski- genius or disturbed

Can a syphallic, diseased mind mean
as much to the written word
As a budding garden of tomatoes,
precisely handled-
To the mind and to poetry?

The tomatoes- a red plump juicy morsel
grown with love and care-
Diseased whore- dark nights, fist
fights, spreads disease to
innocent wife.-

What really means more-
to the poet and pen?

A madman living the life, as did the poets
of old.
Experience all - happiness or strife.
Some say he never wrote a lick,
others call him genius and swear
by it.
Is there deeper meaning in his words-
lucid and pragmatic?
Or the weathering loneliness of a
life gone wrong.

What is art? In the eye of who's absorbing can tell it apart. You've raised the question with the answer in the wind. Was he really really or just reiteration that he sinned. Sometime or another, I think we all ask that of ourselves huh? An interesting write Amy. Peace. :)

Dude, all I wrote was figuratively, Bukowski wrote like this literally. Get the idea?
