About This Poem
What is Meant to Be
I find myself
questioning,
pondering,
wondering what is
truly meant to be.
I have had my heart broken,
now I have me,
and a new found peace.
Will I one day wake up
and be afraid that I am alone?
I wonder
if the content feeling now
will one day grow
into a burning need
for a sacred marital vow.
Can I find someone
who will truly want to know
the story that has been woven
deep within my soul?
There are so many scars to unveil,
moments to reveal,
words to whisper in the dark.
One day,
when I feel this need,
there may be someone,
that accepts this heart and me.
