The journey to nobody knows

This journey to nobody knows.

I can feel it in the morning
I can feel it every night
It’s always there, just always
Though mostly not real bright
Just a whisper in the darkness
That I hardy feel at all
But there’s something about this whisper
That’s kind of wonderful.

It’s such a silent whisper
And yet it speaks so loud
Always trying to reach to me
Though it’s covered by this shroud
It’s kind of like a shadow
A sneaky little imp
Playing little games with me
There cowering like a wimp

The one in me, who thinks he’s me
Looks like he runs the show
But shadow whisper waits around
And gives a tiny glow
And always I will listen to him
Each day his voice it grows
As I am on this journey where
Nobody ever knows.

Thank you Donna, when I retired from work I decided to live a very slow and relaxed life, so I guess that I am lucky. I used to hate the rush of life. I appreciate your comments, my friend....peter

Thank you so much Frederic, for your comments. The poem is about when one stops the mind for the tiniest while, and feels the presence of life, as I feeling deep inside you. But It means to others anything that comes to their mind. I am just glad that you read my stuff. I appreciate your comments, my friend....Peter

Thank you so much Cheri. This tiny whisper is the real you behind the story. When it is seen it is something that brings great peace and harmony. It is what Jesus, the Buddha, and many other spiritual beings speak about. Good luck with your special write, sounds good to me....Peter

I know that shadowy voice all to well, Peter. Whether it is our life's journey, or the journey within a poem. Only we know where it will end up. I really enjoyed this poem! Wonderful work, my friend!...Thank you so much for the kind comments, as always. I appreciate it!

Hi Kelly, you have come very close to what I mean. If you close your eyes and give the question 'What does it feel like to be me', with all of your attention, something happens to you that changes the way you live, and love absolutely. Thank you for your very kind comments....Peter
