About This Poem

Frozen Tears

Frozen Tears

Tears frozen in the coldness of your stare
Wondering if love ever poured into your veins
I’m left to pick up the pieces of when I thought love was there
To later finding myself broken from the edge of pain

Memories frozen from moments now cold that were warm before
Little did I realize how superficial your love was from the start
In time, my tears formed drops through reflections of memories thaw
Feeling the warmth that still lives on in my own heart

I walk away careful, not to get frost bitten in your presence for too long
To save myself from being completely lifeless from your frigid touch
I wipe my eyes eventually dry and head to a journey of being strong
To see you become farther and farther away, keeping my eyes from being frozen shut
Just a made up poem, nothing personal I promise….

So glad this is not fact. You are love and light. A biting cold permeates the words here. Creative and well written,

FJ ..although it might not apply in this poem, do you think that the "gold lines of forgiveness" can sometimes be applied to unblock a bad situation..

Wow, what a deeply dark write my friend! So unlike your usual carefree and positive and loving and hope filled poems you usually write! That doesn't mean that I don't like it, because I do love this poem! I surely loved reading this spectacular piece! Great Work!!
