It's all about the weather

It’s all about the weather

The weather’s in the thirty’s
Tomorrow they expect
that it will climb to forty three
But I say ‘what the heck’
We live in West Australia
It’s what it’s supposed to be
Hot in summer, cool in winter
So why the misery?

Everybody’s moaning
About the Weather here
But they moan about the winter
And me, I think ‘Oh dear’
Why can’t folk just be happy
They live in paradise
And everything about our land
I think is very nice.

If it were not for the weather
They’d have nothing to say
That’s all you seem to get round here
Why can’t folk be more gay?
When one moans about one’s cross
It just gets heavier
So why don’t they accept what is
Whatever does occur?

I agree with you, although I have lived in some more or less extreme climate. When we lived in New York State, we measure snow by the foot rather than inches. Now I live in SC, and the winters are mild, but some summers can be pretty hot. But I'm glad I'm not in AZ with my aunt where the summer weather is seldom below 100. The weather doesn't bother me much, but you're right. If some people didn't have weather, they'd have nothing at all.

If I lived where you are, I would NEVER complain. Utah summers are hot as heck but I don't complain . It's this damn WINTER and cold and snow. UGGGG. I envy you. And this is a cute poem.

Hi Andrea, it is five am in the morning here, and the temp is thirty four. going to be a hot one, but this is summer for you in WA. I am glad there are other people who do not moan about the heat. This is one of the reasons I left cold old England all those years ago...Thank you for your kind remarks, my friend....peterr

I was born in England Shadow, and lived in Peckham, London for twenty four years working on the buses. I recall how cold it used to be in the winter at three o clock in the morning. This is why I love Oz so much. I appreciate your comments, my friend...peter
