Rebirth

Sun Shine Sparkles Parting Clouds Let rays reach forth Through Star Magnolia's Swollen buds which wait A warm mother earth's signal To open revealing those blossoms White stars tinged of spring's luxury First blossoms to expose their white beauty Showing that spring surely arrives despite cold Nine degrees cold freeze their tender swollen buds Wrap a blanket of love around to protect each tiny limb Of The Tree That awaits spring Let the buds be there to speak of rebirth

the tree is an excellent theme for shape poetry, Sara. Very nice. At my granddaughter's baptism was a girl whose family was naming their baby girls after trees. The one getting baptized was Sequoia, and a younger one was called Magnolia. So beautiful. NOt sure they are trees, but Ivy and Lilac will be cute names too.

I like this lots Sara..' In using the term rebirth, You come to better descriptive, as regards 'the faith' many people say they would like revival in the world; to me that is a limited view 'as in something revived' could slip away die again.' I say re-birth is the better to achieve..' By the way good write on the tree as well..'

Dear Sara, these shape poems always seem difficult for me, but you did an outstanding job here creating not only the "tree," but also the sense of longing for spring in the midst of a bitter winter. I hear there may be snow in North Georgia tonight. Hope you stay warm! Love and blessings, Carolyn

Bravo, Sara loved the write, loved the pattern. It sounds like you [as I do] gain excitement from the opening of a flower bud. Nature gives me a huge thrill. it is so wonderful to be alive. Write on,my friend, there is so much beauty in your poems about nature...Peter
