Tear Stained Windows

Tear Stained Windows

An existence of a lonely soul
Is reflected upon tear stained windows
Eyes that long to see the light show through
Of love that once came in view

Did complete darkness veil the light?
Blocking the shadows from one’s sight
Or was it the depression one had within?
That stopped the rays of sun from coming in

Leaving the clouds of death to cover one’s windows
Decaying the happiness and life from their soul
Robbing the dreams and memories of identity
Veiling to show what the sun wanted to see

Tear stained windows will still appear
Never finding a way to become completely clear
If one fails to see their aura of light also painted on the glass-
The existence of their spark remnants, then one’s sorrow will forever last

I never want sorrow within my heart, whenever there is some I must look upon the Lord's light and in everything good he has given me! That always produces a smile within me, and my sadness lessens, and might even dissipate! You are one of those shining lights that I see! What a glorious poem my friend, Great Work!!

I enjoyed this poem very much Gail. So sad to think of all the sorrow in this world. And then I remember, "How great Thou are, how great Thou are". May God's peace always reign in your heart. Take care!
