Sometimes.
just sometimes
when a breeze brushes my cheek
carrying a curious scent,
a delicate flower pushes through a crack
in the sidewalk,
a candle flame reflects in a window
spotted with rain,
I close my eyes,
listen to my heartbeat as the world fades away,
and quietly ...
