After The Storm

After The Storm

A tear’s rain will finally cease after the storm comes to end
All the cries from the heart had finally found a way to mend

The darkness is lifting, shedding tiny shadows to fade within the sunshine
To reflect a healthy sparkle back into our eyes to know that we are fine

At last we can look toward to a brand new day and seek all the rest of tomorrows
In happiness through destined dreams, now that we healed from our deepest sorrows

For after the storm, the sunshine has given way to an aura of pure white
Showing us that we were not alone in this treacherous fight

Releasing all the souls of God’s angels that came to appear
To let us know that after the storm, there was nothing for us to ever fear

It is deep, and has much meaning. To an aura of pure white. Gail, I'm happy you are feeling better today. It matters, knowing you are here sharing a part of your light through your poems. I had a wonderful Christams. Always looking forward... LINDA

Stunning! There is always light and beauty waiting past the storms. My wedding song was The Morning After by Maureen McGovern. It is about emerging from the storms to a new day.

We all seem to fear, sometimes, what is in front of us even though God has come to fill us with joy and love! I love reading this delightful poem this evening! What a perfect piece you have written here my friend! You have done masterfully! Great Work!!

Storms and our release from them are metaphors for so many, if not all, all struggles in life. The clouds gather; sky darkens; winds howl and roar; we are deluged; then dispersal, calm, light and peace. We find ourselves alive with the warm and glowing light of a new day and something we're meant to contribute. Best of the season to you dear Gail.
