Constanza Robbed of her days

Her lonely flys across the sky.
A tragedy that ends with sin.
Where she has stopped we must begin.

When a life ends we wonder why.
A selfish act snuffs out that life.
Her future ended with a knife!

How could one so loved want to die?
What thoughts were pondered in the night?
Could she not see that there was light?

Those left behind can't help but cry.
She touched them in so many ways.
Now she has robbed them of her days.

There are tears that are hard to dry.
A pain that cuts clean through the soul.
That's when we need God to console.

We must go on we have to try!
The sun still comes out every day.
Within the grave let sadness stay.

*****************************

Her lonely flies across the sky.
When a life ends we wonder why.
How could one so loved want to die?
Those left behind can't help but cry.
There are tears that are hard to dry.
We must go on we have to try!

Inspired to try a new form by Mark Peterson.
For Craig's contest; Andrea's Inspiration and Connie's new form.
I agree with Craig, this form is worthy of being recognized.

"Her lonely flies across the sky" There is a wealth of meaning in this one line. A sadness so deep it contemplates the end is lonely and barren. Love flutters helplessly around the fringes trying to find a way in. Well done, my friend.

You seem to excel in anything that challenges you my dear, such a gift as this, does none else but delight the reader, and yes, a cup of coffee would have been a delight, so today when I have my cup of caffeine, I'll think of you, be good, Santa's about to check his list, and so far you're on the top of his good list, xxx

Excellent example, Richard, and certainly a winner for the contest. Your line, 'the sun comes out every day' is especially meaningful to me. I had carried guilt for years and had basically given up. Then I realized the sun was up, day had begun, and I was supposed to do something with it. Guilt changed to regret, and I was able to carry on. Thanks for reminding me of this.

Richard, I first must tell you that this is a very good, but sad poem. I love the way you tied together the first lines of each paragraph to make up the last one....Your friend...Roger
