In Tenderness of Night

In tenderness of night
Restore my faith in ME
Caress in gentle ways
That make my heartaches flee

In tenderness of night
Clothe my name in your need
Touch me in every place
That fantasy will feed

In tenderness of night
Mend all my broken dreams
With promise drenched kisses
That carry sunshine beams

In tenderness of night
Let traveling hands stake claim
Dancing minstrels of love
That banish all my shame

In tenderness of night
Breathe over me your love
As I lay helpless, bare
Passion’s eagle turned to dove

In tenderness of night
Love out of me despair
With words of noble knight
Confess my beauty fair

In tenderness of night
On body free your soul
Mating of mysteries
Fragmented lives made whole

In tenderness of night
Let time be ever still
Neath eyes of silver moon
Your essence in me fill

Naught else but you and I
In tenderness of night
Yet what transpires now
Brings forth dawn’s glorious light

Hi Eileen, thought I would take a little jump forward and see what is to come. Indeed I am glad I did. As always, your gentle passion flows through this piece. Your visions all knit expertly together giving the Love a flow. Let the tenderness flow forth from your heart into words that captivate. May gold always flow from your pen. May you ever write "In Tenderness Of Night." Have a good day. Catch you later. Your Friend always....MIKE.

Another Eileen, love the repetition throughout and how you switched it up but cleverly tied it together in the final quatrain.

It means so much to me that you read my work, Craig. I have a very high opinion of yours and so.........yes, glad to see you here. I made a small change in line 3 to make the flow smoother. Please...feel free to give me constructive criticism on how I can improve the lines. I am a willing student. Thanks! :)

Sounds like a magical evening. What more could any man or woman hope for. You have made me even more homesick with this magnificent piece.
