The River Of Peace

Run forever oh river of peace
On thy eternal journey never cease
Flow right to the heart I do Love
Give her the peace of Heaven above

Let all of her troubles disappear
And I shall Love her oh so dear
Let it be done even for a small while
As peace and her heart do reconcile

As the waters ever journey on
The waters they sing a most peaceful song
Let there peaceful journey never end
As my message of peace they do send

To my Love run swift and true
And it shall be my whole life through
That I'll let her know this peace I do send
Peace and Love I will give her 'till Journey's end

Run forever oh river of peace
On thy eternal journey never cease
Flow right to the one I Love
Give her the peace of Heaven above

Thy Dark man eternal.

Hi Carl, thanks for dropping by and the comment. I didn't actually know how to write this one because I didn't know how I wanted to portray Love. Strange thing to say. I kept talking about Love flowing so it just had to be a river. As soon as that was taken out of the equation the words just started coming. The eternal Journey begins. Have a good day. Catch you later. Your Friend....MIKE.

Hi Vera, thanks for dropping by and the comment. I Love the water, as you say, it does inspire. It can inspire some truly beautiful writes. Love always flows and that being the case I liken it to a river, just seems to make sense. I'm glad you liked this one. The river of peace and Love ever runs. Have a good day. Catch you later. Your Friend....MIKE..

Hi there Mary, thanks for dropping by and the comment. It's been a little while now you've been reading me and I've been reading you. My river of Love ever flows , even though my heart may be filled with pain and anguish the Love is still there. The Love shall ever flow for soft brown eyes. Have a good day. Catch you later. Yours always....MIKE.

Hi Joseph, thanks for dropping by and the comment. Love is an ever flowing river and we are the only ones who can stop it running. Myself, my river ever runs. It never matters if I am inn the midst of the deepest Joy or the deepest sorrow, my Love ever flows. Hey, I thought it was meant to be the ladies who were the hopeless romantics. Have a good day. Catch you later. Your Friend....MIKE.

Hi there, thanks for dropping by and the comment. I found it hiding out behind a Ferrari. Hell, I grabbed its tail, you should have told me it would put up a fight. Still, I finally got it where it belonged, unless it is off again. I shall never trust a T again. Must admit, i really liked that one, the t playing in the parking lot. Have a good day. Catch you later. Your Friend....MIKE.

This is an amazing poem Michael. I really did like the way you wrote. I love rivers and use them as a metaphor all the time. Well done my friend...Peter

Hi Peter, thanks for dropping by and the comment. I guess all that ever matters to me is that m y Love ever flows in the right direction. Always using the word flows made me think of the river so now Love is the river, the eternal river. I enjoy being near rivers myself, they bring me a calm. Have a good day. Catch you later. Your Friend....MIKE.
