Love births pure light, a light man yearns,
the world longs for change, new life turns,
beyond despair, beyond gloom's scope
there comes a way for all to cope
with an endless dark that nearly burns.

She enfolds herself, stills concerns,
there is much to bear, faith discerns,
but labors with a mother's hope ...
                                      Love births pure light

Rejoice, dawn crests as night adjourns,
warmth surrounds, sweetness, she earns,
the womb now soft, a heart now slopes
towards peace, then these words are spoke:

Bless this earth, may each soul soon learn
                                      love births pure light

Cyndi - Bring it forth, the light and truth of your poetry. I didn't read one cliche, if there is one - you twisted it into words never heard before. love, Kathy

No Cyndi--Fav btw--like Chris says--all is merged in history, just like we are--love that you are writing again--the purest voice here and to use a twisted cliche' "You could write the phone book"!

Right on. Go with the clichés sometimes, or else it becomes too cliché trying to stay away from clichés(besides, nowadays, technically, every word can be a cliché on its own(I checked -- 40 words per month are being added to a global list of clichés! Ha!). It is becoming cliché simply to write poems. Good on you for merging Paganism with Christianity .... especially since the genesis of Christianity is Paganism.

;-D okay, okay, my Multi-theism merged with Christian, and, oh well, it came from a personal space, too. Hope you like, but not different enough, I know. More than a mite cliché. Thanks for the nudge. This felt good to write.
