The whole day it snowed heavily
In the evening we made a snowman
The neighbours came to see him
Passers-by stopped to have a look.
All of us excited by the encouragement
Decided to make it a thing of beauty
We had yet to carve the nose, the eyes
But it was dark, we went indoors to bed.
Taking dinner, talking with family
Brushing the teeth, putting on nightdress
Lying in the bed, sleeping and dreaming.
I could think of nothing but the snowman
As I got up early in the morning
Hurried downstairs to bid him “Good Morning”
Oh, the blue sky, and warmer wind blowing
No trace of my friend, can’t even say “goodbye”
