Falling Into Lifes Sad Pit

I'm teetering along the edge
Of a long and deep sharp ledge
One more push and I will drop
Can someone please help me stop
The pain everyday that follows
Me into more bad tomorrows
That will not leave me alone
I would like to just be shown
What it's like to wear a smile
It has been too long a while
Since my days were filled with joy
Thinking fates out to destroy
Every ounce of happiness
Until there is nothing left
To live for and dream about
I just want to scream and shout
Take away all the dark clouds
Giving me the love allowed
That I see looking so grand
I want to hold someones hand
Feeling the soft warm rush
That makes my whole body gush
With sensations never felt
Because life has always dealt
A hand so unbearable
Days were too unlivable
For enjoying anything
My heart never got to sing
Any happy and fun tunes
Darkness and a lot of gloom
Is all I will ever feel
This world will never reveal
Any goodness night or day
I will just crawl up and stay
Tightly wrapped up in a ball
Until it's my time to fall
Into a nice peaceful slumber
My lonely life finally over

I can relate to this completely, Robin. I know exactly where you are coming from in this one, because I grew up feeling the same way about my life. You perfectly described those dark and lonesome feelings that just will not go away. A deeply emotional poem that I am going to add to my favorites! :)

OI! Robin, I will help you move from the edge... You sure know how to compel one long dropping soul poem. I can't not imagine you with such sadness and loneliness. A very deep, and edgy poem. The way you curved the imagery, and piled the sadness of an unborn fetus, waiting that is all.... Enjoyed... Always a FAN Linda

Oh Robin, you sound so utterly miserable in this well written poem. From sadness to happiness is just a breath away. When these things are looked at deeply, they cannot stand up to scrutiny, and move away. Try looking deeply at your fears. Most people try to escape, and flee from phantoms. I hope that helped a teensy, weensy bit....peter

I also hope this piece is fictional; I hate to hear that my friend's are hurting. I can also relate to every single verse you wrote; I understand these feelings completely. Nothing but love and hugs to you, Sweet Pea <3

Such a sad poem coming from you dear robin. I hope this write is purely fictional. I've heard it said that if we don't live on the edge we are taking up entirely to much space. I've always taken it to mean that we should always live life to the fullest. So if there is some truth to this poem I would tell you to find things you enjoy doing and get out and do them. And sometimes try something exciting (not terrifying) that you have never done before. Please enjoy life my dear.

Robin, I wish the pain was the easiest pain to stop... Sometimes hiding from the world, is the way peeps deal with the unbearable life when standing on the ledge. I'll never understand how life turns from happy to sad in split seconds... Great deep write... Scary is ending... Hugs.. And good night.. Linda
