an acorn

an acorn
tumbles from the heights
jays on wing
longing for the warm sun
I button my wool sweater

Very nice poem here. It says a lot. For some reason I can't find any Fisherman's Lament in your latest works. Could you give me some more direction?

As I knew when I clicked, your poem would not be the ordinary......always extraordinary..... too often my sweater is missing a button......but it is well worn !! lol ! ps......I struggled on my ghazel and almost gave up......but because of you and all your encouragement....I kept on trying. What a surprise you have given me....you always stretch me and I am grateful. (Stretched like my old sweater!!....perhaps...a bit out of shape, but comfy!) Thank you !!

An excellent tanka for a season my dear friend Deb. A brilliant write indeed! I extremely love it and so enjoyed. Thank you so much for sharing! Biggest hugs! May I also have this opportunity to thank you for my awesome win in your contest and especially for your help & most of all, learning a special form of poem from you. I didn't expect at all to win but I'm so grateful and glad that you liked my simple ghazal poem. More hugs to you and have a great day! love lots always, Leonora
