ODE TO THE STARS

Twinklers glint, shining above clouds
with a relay of dots in softest gold,
the sky transforming in a blink
to illuminate a shimmer in the air.

I wonder at your angled radiance
while frozen on the spot... my eyes awaken
and up there, a parade of twirling sparklers
like miniature bulb lights, combust.

The hues change from silver to red
a flicker splattering heaven's canopy,
that lovers gaze to breathe in the dew
of satin webs so delicate and frail.

Make of wish, your vibrant eyes say
my face blushes praying for one dream
that makes me saunter, as in a trance,
drowning in the grandeur of your bliss.

Oh, such serenity here... I love the placement of saunter and grandeur, that roll of tongue, so much like a purr! Congrats, Soul-sis. I am getting better, but not finished this flu yet... it has such claws. Maybe I should write "healthy" poetry, lol, positive spins and forward thinking, maybe the energy I put into verse needs to change :D Ah, well, this poesy did my heart good. Hugs and Love--- PS our girl is now up to 41 inches, but we struggle with getting her weight up. She nibbles... xoxox

WOW! You truly amaze me by your grand brilliance you have displayed here my friend! I am always impressed by your talented writings but this one seems to go over the top with its grandiosity! I love the night stars anyway and this poem made me want to visit them more frequently so I can see their beauty once again, as your poem expresses its own beauty within itself! What a fantastic piece Nette, Great Work!!

Sweet and a smile-maker. Oh, hon, I am so very very very relieved you are okay and hurt for your country. It seems to get such a wallop from nature! Hubby has been using the computer lots (looking for a part-time job to help pay off some bills.) I joined a gym and I am trying to get fit/healthy, for myself as well as for "our" girl. Will get back "here" as soon as I get a routine down. Verity is finally staying cold-free (knock on wood). Love ya. Stay you- xoxox
