Mama, you carried me for nine months,
In your womb you held me to birth,
Groaned with pain to bring me into being,
Pain that still lasts for now,
Mama you hide your face from me,
Whenever you cried just assumed you fine,
Mama you kept distance from me,
So that I can know the real you,
You gave me gold and diamond,
To assume everything is fine,
You made me believe in you,
The real you yet known,
Visited me severally with gold as gift,
Left me with ultimatum to follow you,
But have my life mama,
Yet still I love you and I hate you,
I know your faith now faith of gold,
Mama please am not worth those golds,
Compensate me with them not,
Cause still I have my life and faith,
Now look you break my heart'
Night are getting long with dreams,
You torment me during the night,
You entice pain so as to follow you,
But am sorry I cant
Let me remain alone,
Alone with God,
Mama you still have what it takes,
Yet your faith to follow not,
Miles far away you go day,
Night your shadows chase me,
Mama do you really love me,
Make me believe that you do,
Change your wicked ways mama,
Am your son mama,
Accidents resolves our differences not,
But creates hatred to you and me,
Listen to my cry of benevolence mama,
change! change! change! change!
But if you don't change am out of your soul,
Can you really hurt your son mama'
I can't believe you can burn your house'
Your only foundation mama'
Where is your love mama'
Daddy listen to me though far away,
Look at me now though I know you not,
I still hope to meet you one day dear,
Did you know mama'
Daddy where are you to calm this tormented soul,
Mama listen to Daddy whispers and leave me
Alone alone with God,
You never taught me of faith,
Yet you want me to follow you,
I believe I told you I love Jesus,
At the first sight you left me,
You hide your fears in gold gift,
Those gifts are no more,
I want iron now please,
Humble me make my life hard,
Let me run to the streets,
I don't deserve your false warmth anymore,
Don't haunt my soul down take your gold and leave,
I still have my life and duties to carry,
Mama I don't hate you,
I hate your wicked ways,
Just don't trouble again night by night,
Let me live humbly and free,
Gather your golds,
Keep them in your pocket,
You will really need them later as a witness,
In that very day when we will be gathered,
I am telling you the truth,
The truth that hurts,
This is to show you that I care,
Mama change it is not late,
Throw your gold away,
Join my hand to humbleness,
But leave me!
