Scat, scat black cat, the lord be deviled,
To know where your at.
Blending into the night, unseen into
Your natural habitat.
A chameleon of opportunity, a dark
Ninja, whom never utters a sounds
Halloween's frisky feline, mistress of
The scare tactic, called stealth.
Hiding beneath the darkness venues,
Unknown places waiting to catch,
Pouncing on it's helpless victim’s.
With deadly accuracy's intent, at
Her own convenience of course.
A side wider, sneaking up beside
The innocent, spiting and puffing,
A hair ball of fearlessness, is she,
Completely out of control.
This sweet little kitten, with green
Eyes, that pierce through the night.
Beware not to fall for her cuteness,
It's just a ploy, to lore you into her
Trap of claws and jaws.
After all I did and brought it home,
She beguiled my heart, entrapped
My soul, with enchantments purring.
Now I'm left at the mercy, of the black
Cat's legacy of owners torment,
And regrets anisette.
But I've learned how to fight back,
At this little demons intentions,
My remedy to this melody is simple
A bell placed upon a collar, foils
The attacker well executed plans.
For future kitty cat owners, remember
Never pick the darkest of the litter,
Unless one comes prepared first.
A bell can save a life, take my word
