Seasons

Poetry is like a river
Always changing currents
Soft, wild, always demanding attention.

October sun fading
Blowing thru golden hair
Wind swept streaks on face.

Never a green leaf whispers
As the sweet smelling flowers drift
Deep into the heart of summer.

I saw spring today
Was an awesome sight
Heaven was open to me.

Good luck on your training and doing. You have the sensitivity and empathy to be a wonderful counselor. And yes, it is hard to write a lot when we are busy with other parts of our lives. I wish you the best in this endeavor. You will make the world a better place.

Debbie, I guess spring will always be in your heart! I apologize for being away for a while. I can't explain my absence except to say that I have been consumed with outside matters and have neglected my poetic partition. It is funny how that works. Best of experiences going forward to you.
