The face of reality is
that straight face of sarcasm.
The face of hope is
that smirk that wrinkles the mouth.
The face of love is
that twinkle in an eye that blinks.
The face of fear is
that shiver-like chattering of the teeth.
The face of loneliness is
that longing in a face of marble stone.
The face of persistency is
that raised eyebrow that forms a small victory.
The face of anger is
that charcoal breath that singes the hair off one's chest.
The face of forgiveness is
that look one can only learn from a mother.
